Direct-to-home retailer offers discretion in managing incontinence

Direct-to-home retailer Healthwick has expanded its catalogue of adult incontinence products with the addition of the new Presto brand —a line of adult briefs, absorbent underwear, underpads and wash cloths. Presto joins other brands such as TENA, Abena and Tranquility which Healthwick offers through online and toll-free phone ordering with discreet home delivery.
“We’re excited to be the only Canadian retailer selling Presto brand products online,” says Sean Neville, CEO of Healthwick, “We already had the largest selection of incontinence products in the country, but Presto fits a very important niche for price-conscious consumers without sacrificing quality or features.”
Presto incontinence products are manufactured in Wisconsin and offer the same high-end features typically found in national brand products, including high absorbency cores, double leg guards and breathable, cloth-like materials. Healthwick carries both Presto adult diaper and underwear style products, as well as underpads and wipes, for a full solution that is easy to fit into any budget.
In 2014, the U.S. Centers for Disease Control estimated that 50% of seniors over the age of 65 were managing incontinence. This age group is also the most likely to be struggling with a limited or fixed income from pensions, making the need for an affordable continence care product that much greater.
“Many of our customers are on a fixed income and have found it difficult to afford a high-quality incontinence product,” says Sharron Jones, marketing director at Healthwick, “We wanted to offer a product that they could afford on a daily basis, but which would also let them continue to enjoy an active lifestyle and good quality of life. We expect the demand for Presto products be enormous, especially as our population in Canada ages.”
Presto items at Healthwick.ca are priced up to 40% less than comparable premium brands and come in a range of sizes, including an absorbent adult brief from sizes small (S) to double-extra-large (XXL). For those who want to try before they buy, Healthwick is also offering free samples when new customers pay shipping.
“Healthwick’s Free Sample Program is a terrific resource for Canadians,” say Jones, “Typically, a retail consumer will have to buy an entire package of product in a store in order to try a new product. Often the product doesn’t work or isn’t the right size and they’ve wasted both money and time. Our program lets them try up to five different products and all they pay is one low shipping fee to have the order shipped discreetly to their home. Plus they receive a coupon for free shipping on their next order over $50.”
